3rd party airports
« on: August 19, 2012, 07:45:15 pm »
Hi All,
I'm new here.
I have GSX, and let me tell you, it's great.
Does it work with UK2000 airports, and if so how do i get it to work.
And is there a list of 3rd party airports that it works with.

Many thanks

As explained in the product page, GSX works with ANY FSX airport, both default and 3rd party, even those that aren't even released, the only requirement is the scenery has a correct AFCAD with no errors. Other than that, you don't have to do anything special, it will just work.

With the included Scenery editor, you can customize any scenery even further, to specify parking radius sizes and vehicles placement, so you can fix any possible problems like overlapping objects, which might happen more frequently with 3rd party sceneries, that are usually more detailed than the default ones.

Hi,
How do I check AFCAD file is correct.
When I'm at this paticular airport, in any position,(I've tried a few positions), and go to open GSX, the message says "no airport services are available at this position"

Thanks

That replies to your question "How do I check AFCAD file is correct", if you are seeing that message, chances are the scenery AFCAD has some problems. If you said which scenery is, maybe we could check it.

There's a thread about it here:

And, I think there were some issues with the AFCAD that comes with the Demo version, but it should work in the full version.
