Zurich 2.0 for FSX
« on: October 06, 2011, 02:34:39 pm »
Hi all

I need urgent help!
I've bought in 2008 for FS9 in the wonderful FSDT Zurich Airport and registered!
Well recently I switched to FSX and I have risen for the FSX Zurich 2.0 upgrade and install it wanted!
Unfortunately, I failed to install this airport, although I have installed the addon manager!
During the selections in the menu bar and Sceneriebibiliothek Control and everything is OK.
When I wanted to test the airport, I noticed the lack of any terminal and the gate were shown only!

Since I am not with the FSX and registration versed, I wanted to ask me whether we could be helpful in this regard!

Thanks in advance!
MfG
Peter

The usual questions:

- Do you have the Addon Manager menu AND the Couatl powered product menu under the "Addons" menu in FSX ?

- Do you have both menus, only one (which one? ) or none at all ?

First check for the possible antivirus problem, this way:

- Uninstall the scenery. Reply YES when asked if you want to remove the Addon Manager and the Couatl Engine. Reply YES to both questions.

- TURN OFF your antivirus. Don't just exit from its interface, but turn off the real time protection. Actual wording changes between products, however, it's the option to scan every file that gets open in real time, without user intervention.

- Reinstall the sceneries with the Antivirus TURNED OFF. Don't launch FSX yet.

- Configure the antivirus to exclude the following files from scanning:

YourFSXFolder\bglmanx.dll
YourFSXFolder\fsdreamteam\Couatl\couatl.exe

YourFSXFolder it's usually C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X, if you installed it in the default folder.

- Now you can turn the antivirus back on, and launch FSX.

- Check you are seeing BOTH the "Addon Manager" menu AND the "Couatl powered products" menu under the "Addons" menu
