For me it is the FSDT Installer that corrupts the Adobe application.
It surely doesn't because, if it really did, you wouldn't be able to open .PDF files anymore, which is not what you said it happened. According to your report, it seems the Acrobat Reader seems to crash when started from the FSDT Installer, so you need to close it manually.
As I've said in my previous reply, the FSDT Installer
doesn't know which reader you have, doesn't try to start it, doesn't even know if you have a PDF reader to begin with. It JUST use the standard Windows command to "start a file", which in simple words means:
"dear Windows, I would like to start this .PDF file, I have no idea how you normally open .PDF file so, could you please try to open it for me, using whatever program you have registered to open such files ?"
There's zero direct interaction between the FSDT installer and the actual Reader program, so I can only guess your issue might be caused by some other program interfering, like an antivirus, that might have decided to block that otherwise perfectly legit operation so, the usual suggestion is to first add the whole Addon Manager folder to the antivirus EXCLUSIONS, which usually fix most of the issues.
