When requesting pushback, the ramp personnel walks to the center of the aircraft and then back to the nose gear.  The tug does not show up until the announcement is made ready for pushback.  Then the tug pulls forward but never actually contacts the nose gear.  2nd issue, when arriving at a gate, when the countdown text begins, it is scrambled and goes full width of the screen,  not readable at all.

That's not a bug, it's how the procedure has changed, following suggestions from users that requested the bypass pin must the inserted before attaching the Tug.

please clarify, is a towbar tug or not ?

This has been discussed and answered multiple times: we are aware of the problem and while we release a fix, the temporary solution is to disable the "Marshaller distance readout" in the options.
