GSX Editor Fix? P3d 5.3
« on: September 01, 2022, 05:43:21 pm »
Hoping the GSX editor will be fixed soon.

When starting the editor, the sim is put into a very fast slew mode and I'm not able to exit other than quitting p3d completely.
Thanks

Check your controller axis assigned to slew, personally I delete these.

Nothing in my setup has changed, the editor worked perfectly before all these updates FSDT released.
I'll check those anyway.

Any idea why this is happening or how I can fix? I'm not able to use the editor. there's nothing assigned to slew.

Something it is assigned to Slew, maybe a joystick you don't normally use.

I've checked in p3d & FSUIPC, there's no controller assigned to slew. Why would this only happen when the GSX editor is launched?
I'm going to try a complete uninstall & reinstall of all FSDT addons, we'll see how that goes.

So I think I have a fix - still testing.

Did a complete uninstall/reinstall of all FSDT addons. Also made sure folders and remnants were removed before reinstalling.
So far the editor is working.

Prior to all these updates FSDT released, I had no issues with anything GSX. Somehow whatever they were updating caused some corruption.

No joy. I had high hopes.

After the reinstall, in the NGX, tried launching the editor - worked fine.
Then I ran Live Update, now I have the same problem again - Can't use the GSX editor. Soon as the audible prompt says 'starting editor', I'm in a very fast slew and can't stop. Only option is to quit p3d.

To be clear, when I uninstalled, I deleted all the old folders (previous ini's are all gone).
This is really frustrating. Some help would be appreciated, thanks.
