Hi Umberto,

May I kindly ask your help:
I also have issues with couatl not starting (message "Couatl Scripting Engine hasn't started" after loading a flight). I can start it manually, but then couatl keeps crashing pretty much after every action with the message "The addon <unknown> is causing the Couatl Scripting Engine to restart. Please run Live Update". Please find attached my couatl.log file.

What I have tried so far (after reading a lot of forum articles - apologies if I overlooked something important):
1. Complete re-install of GSX
2. Installation of the offline installer, version July 13, 2023
3. Set both couatl.exe and couatl64_MSFS.exe to "Windows 8 Compatibility" and "Start as Administrator"

Thank you for any tips to get this working - I love GSX and would love to be able to get it working again!

Best regards
Jan (EDHE/EDDH)

After purchasing this yet again. I run into the issue of access denied in my log and need to edit host file. I’ve watched video after video and still can get into the host file.

@Virtuali I need some assistance this shouldn’t have to be the case paying $30

I think I already explained you in private what's the real cause of this. Consider reinstall Windows, you know fully well your issue is NOT caused by the product you bought.

Please clarify if your LGAV scenery is default or not, because I can see from your log GSX is loading its own replacement jetways, which are supposed to be used ONLY with a default scenery so, if you are using an add-on, you must Disable the GSX jetway replacement files for it.

Check the manual, Page 7, which  explains this more in detail.

no the LGAV scene is not by default it is the FLYTAMPA scene.

Umberto,  I will not read through 29 pages of information on here with the problem that we're all having. When I first loaded it up it worked ok, but MSFS was remarkably sluggish. Next time I was getting the couatl error message everyone else has been getting.

I would like you to PM me with info about how to get my money back.

I await it.

Hello, could someone help me, I get the Couatl64_MSFS.exe error. and I have no way to solve it, I deleted the Addon Manager file, and the Universal Installer... to reinstall... and it still doesn't work, it's also taking up more and more storage, the Addon folder is also excluded from the antivirus... I'm very disappointed...
I'm looking for a solution... First, delete duplicate files or I don't know, because almost 10GB has filled up. Second fix the Couatl64

Good morning

so after doing some tests (and I speak only for my part) I was able to solve my problem GSX does not work when I launch the simulator as administrator why I don't know. And when I launch it normally it works and the problem I had on LGAV was indeed related to what Umberto Colapicchioni told me.

Hi Umberto,

Across the last few updates I've had the couatl engine hasn't started message every time I open the sim. When I open the task tray and move my cursor over the icon, it disappears (crashes). I have to restart couatl from the actual .exe (\Addon Manager\couatl64\Couatl64_MSFS.exe), after doing so it stays open and GSX runs.

I've run the live updater several times and it doesn't fix the issue.

Log files are attached -- one after opening the sim but before restarting couatl, one from after restarting it.

Thanks.

have the same problem since today

I ran the update but unfortunately it didn't help.

If I start it manually, the error message comes up and otherwise it doesn't load by itself, which it has already done

Dears;
I solved this issue with this workaround:
-   Start FSDT Installer.
-   Disable your license (Deactivate button).
-   Uninstall everything related to FSDT.
-   Start MSFS 2020 and verify you are using DirectX version 11 (not 12 beta).
-   Restart your computer.
-   Start your FSDT installer.
-   Provide your product key here.
-   Then install GSX Pro again but choose a folder outside “C:\Program Files (x86)” or “C:\Program Files”) and outside your MSFS 2020 Folder or community one.
-   When it’s trying to update, push CANCEL button.
-   Run the "Addon Manager", provided by Umberto, for offline usage

 Mediafire.com: https://www.mediafire.com/file/fqi00a0noyhcjgm/Addon_Manager.exe/file

-   Start FDST Again and finish to UPDATE GSX Pro

Works for me for now.

I have the same problem with Couatl message; not working GSX services but GSX Icon tab is present after loaded an airport from MSFS. (I was off from flight Simulator for a while and today I came back to MSFS sim.)
When I launch first the Couatl64_MSFS.exe file then I get GSX services.
How to let Couatl64_MSFS loaded automatically after launching MSFS sim?

Create a Batch file on your desktop to launch GSX then MSFS 2020.

Remplace with your Drive letter and path to Addon Manager:

STEAM:
@echo off
Cd /d “YOUR HARDRiVE & PATH\ Addon Manager\couatl64”
Start  Couatl64_MSFS.exe
start steam://rungameid/1250410

MS Store installation:
@echo off
Cd /d “YOUR HARDRiVE & PATH\ Addon Manager\couatl64”
Start  Couatl64_MSFS.exe
cmd.exe /C start shell:AppsFolder\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App -FastLaunch
