Changing the standard refueling position (from right to left)
« on: December 07, 2020, 10:37:04 am »
Dear Ladies and Gents,

with my current Level 1 & 2 configuration, especially shortrange aircraft like the A32F are refueled from the right hand side, blocking cargo loading.
How is it possible to change the standard location of the fuel track to be refueled from the left-hand wing?

Would it be possible to determine this via an integrated option within the next update?

Best Regards,
Alexander

The refueling point has always been configurable in GSX in the integrated airplane configuration editor.

Hi Umberto,

thank you for your answer. However, as your answer is not very detailed, I only aware of the option to change the parking facilities one by one and adjusting the position of each vehicle and staff.
Could you be so kind to give a little more detailed explanation?

Best Regards,
Alexander

In the GSX menu, customize aircraft, and you can move the refueling point to wherever you'd like.

Hey Captain Kevin,

thank you for giving me the necessary advise.
However, moving the fuel truck from the right to the left-hand side gives me the opportunity to load the cargo while refueling but blocks the stair operation on the left-hand side which is extremly bad and delaying especially in apron positions, especially during turn-arounds on charter destinations.

Example given Gate A38 in Frankfurt (EDDF):

How can this situation be solved?

Best Regards and thanks for a detailed advise,
Alexander

The refueling blocking the stair service until is done is of course made intentionally to prevent the fuel truck crashing into the stairs, that's why the default is on the right, because usually cargo loading takes less time than passenger boarding.

There's nothing we can do to fix it, without having vehicles clashing into each other, which surely most people would think as a worse problem.

Hi,

thank you for your response. That's unfortunate.
