Adding comments in GSX .ini files
« on: February 01, 2020, 04:36:51 am »
Is there a way to tag text so GSX would treat it as a comment?  I'd like to put notes in the customization files for future reference.

I think semicolons should work.

I'll test and let you know.

No luck.  While I put a couple of lines starting with semicolons in an .ini file and GSX loaded the file, the minute I made any changes to the file the updated version had lost the comment lines.   I will try putting the comments at the end instead of in the middle, but i suspect that the entire file gets overwritten when any changes are made.

Confirmed.   I'll have to come up with another way to keep notes on GSX configurations, that's separate from the sim and GSX.
