Airport cache regeneration completed with FAILURE in 0 seconds

Hello,

Please help me with this issue, I have tried reinstalling GSX, doing all the things in other forums such as deleting files.bin, all i did was removed my fsx.cfg because it was causing a major lag in my sim so it can regenerate a new one.

The most likely cause is the antivirus, which is both preventing to recreate the cache AND save your settings. Be sure you configure the antivirus to disable the whole Addon Manager folder from scanning. If that doesn't work, try to remove this folder:

C:\ProgramData\Virtuali

Then reinstall GSX (no need to uninstall first)

Sorry for the late reply, I am just getting back to simming. I tried the steps above and I still have the airport cache failure.

Then you likely have a corrupted .BGL somewhere.  try this:

open the Notepad and type the following on a new blank file:

logFile=couatl.log

(please note logFile is written beginning with a lower case L and a capital F )

- Save the file as couatl.ini in the %APPDATA%\Virtuali folder

- Delete %PROGRAMDATA%\Virtuali again

- Run the sim, then exit after it disappear after the cache recreation.

- Check your %APPDATA%\Virtuali folder and if there's a Couatl.LOG file there, post its content

- DO NOT copy the file in a message, but use the "Attach" function of the forum to ZIP the log file and Attach it to a post.

The log file gave you the reason for the error:

Exception while creating airport cache: CreateFile failed: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\Addon Scenery\KSEA-T2G\KSEA\scenery\KSEA-OBJ-2.bgl" (system:1392)

So, it's a corrupted file for that airport, reinstalling it should probably fix it.
