Great update with the multiple points. But it is difficult to customize a push with a longer straight path. This is FlyTampa EHAM stand F3 where a very long push is needed. Maybe the snap mode is better here.
Exactly, there's a reason why Snap mode is still there, and it's precisely to do THAT kind of paths, those made with several long straight legs, following the AFCAD. QuickEdit/Free mode works best on tricky short distances, see what the GSX manual says about this, at Page 49:
Custom Pushback in Free/QuickEdit Mode
This mode is the one that gives you the most flexibility, and it’s typically used to exit from tight spots, where you cannot be sure an existing AFCAD node can be used or found, and it’s best used over short distances. While the Snap Mode could theoretically push you through the whole airport, since it only needs a destination node and will follow all the yellow lines up to there, the Free Mode works best when the end destination is close to the starting Parking spot
