Crash before pushback NZWN
« on: September 23, 2019, 09:08:29 pm »
Hello Umberto,

I am experiencing a Coualt crash everytime the marshaller says to release parking brakes for pushback. This is gate 15 of Flightbeam's NZWN, GSX 2, P3d v4.5 and latest coualt update.

couatl v3.2 (build 4262)
panic log started on Mon Sep 23 21:04:24 2019

problem raised by addon <unknown>
Traceback (most recent call last):
File ".\common\fsm.py", line 73, in executeDoFuncToCompletion
File ".\GSX\assistanceServices\pushBack.py", line 538, in do
File ".\common\walker.py", line 257, in walkTo
AssertionError
{'Airport': 'NZWN', 'Requested assistance services at': 'Gate 15', 'User Pos': (-41.330004524272596, 174.80944482856978, 5.38064 m, 4.38064 m, 126.18084936030249)}

Thank you.

I had the same error except mine was at PHNL

couatl v3.2 (build 4262)
panic log started on Mon Sep 23 12:19:58 2019

problem raised by addon <unknown>
Traceback (most recent call last):
File ".\common\fsm.py", line 73, in executeDoFuncToCompletion
File ".\GSX\assistanceServices\pushBack.py", line 538, in do
File ".\common\walker.py", line 257, in walkTo
AssertionError
{'Airport': 'PHNL', 'Requested assistance services at': 'Gate 60', 'User Pos': (21.33477428649782, -157.9244174540131, 6.95084 m, 2.95084 m, 99.1900021946585)}

After doing some troubleshooting, I found I made an error in modifying the parking spot. I had modified the vehicle placement at that gate and somehow had managed to get Lat and Long numbers in the pushback boxes.  Once I deleted the numbers from the Lat Long boxes everything worked fine.

Try this..

Open the "Customize airport positions ..." function in GSX.  On the Parking tab for Gate 15, see if you have numbers in the Lat Lon boxes under Pushback direction. If you do, delete them and Restart Couatl and see if the problem still exist.

This is happening at all airport and all aircraft it appear to be after the last update so I guess where just have to wait and see what the FSDT team does as no one is saying anything. Its been 48hrs with this error.

Well,

It appears another update has issues. I updated to the latest version and I am having the exact same problem no matter what airport I depart from. All is well until the pushback begins then the program crashes. Here is the log file:

couatl v3.2 (build 4262)

SCREEN SHOT ATTACHED.

IS THIS ISSUE BEING ADDRESSED?

Hi Fludo,

I also experienced the same issue as you mention above, but I mean that the problem is concerning the P3Dv4.5 Hotfix2!! In fact I only have the GSX pushback to crash when I update the P3Dv4.5 Client to the new Hotfix2. Doing a rollback to P3Dv4.5 Hotfix1 solves the issue at the pushback with GSX L2.
Umberto can you check if I am right with GSX and P3Dv4.5 Hotfix2?

I am using newest GSX L2 (couatl v3.2 (build 4262)), Win10 1903 64bit, P3Dv4.5 Hotfix1 (Client&Content). No matter at which airport I tested, the issue is at any airport I tried ( addon or stock ). Attached my couatl.log as ZIP-File.

Regards.

EDIT

Sorry, just used a Quality Wings ARJ85 and the GSX Pushback issue is once again there, even running P3Dv4.5 Hotfix1. So it is not related to the P3Dv4.5 Hotfix2 as I assumed!! Seems really to be an issue of GSX L2 with the latest update...... !

Note to self for future updates:
1. Never run live update until a week has passed and I’ve checked the forums for potential problems.
2. Never run live update when Umberto is away for business or pleasure.
3. Never run live update on a Friday because it might be Monday before you get any support.

Agreed.

Unfortunately I’m not aware of any way to roll back to the previous version. I also wish there was a way to turn off the update notification.

And if history is any indication of how support has been handled on failed updates we will be told that everything is fine because the beta testers found no issue along with each one of us has a unique problem because we all have differently configured PCs. (Happened on the big update for PBR).

I hope they work on a solution rather than argue with those of us who have this issue and reported it.

In the future I’m not updating until I see there are no issues.

Hello Pc Pilot,

I hope we are already passed that phase, it seems very clear now that this is a GSX problem and not all of us suddenly not knowing how to use pushback.

My original post is from Monday and still waiting for an answer by someone of the team, I hope it's because they're looking for a solution.

I found two pages for another post on this issue which can be found here:

I checked because I figured it’s probably everybody.
