The couatl scripting engine hasn't started
« on: August 13, 2019, 03:44:58 am »
Hi there.

I have problem to use GSX2 with this error “The couatl scripting engine hasn't started”.
Once I installed GSX2, and added Addon folder to antivirus Exclusion list. Then it worked!
But after re-installed on the same day, the message showed again, so I confused..

I did checked Exclusion list and nothing changed since it worked.(I mean Addon folder still on the list)

And also try
-CMD command “Couatl.exe –test”
-Turn off the antivirus software
-Launch FSDT Live Update
-Un-install and Re-install (I did do 5 or more times)
but nothing changed the situation

so what should I do next….

I apologize for my poor English. :-[
Thanks,

-P3D V4.5(4.5.11.29713)
-Download GSX2 today (probably newest version).
-Using Kaspersky Internet Security

If you absolutely sure your antivirus is properly configured, and your firewall is not blocking the download, the thread named "Addon Manager not showing up in P3Dv4 **SOLVED**" thread lists all the known solutions for missing menu entries from the "Addons" menu:

Before you you blame your customers, check your software. I have just tried to reinstall it on a fresh Windows installation, no AV and no firewall and I get the same error. It is the first addon installed.

There are are many users who experienced the same issue since around the 11th August.  I'd suggest you try a bit harder in solving the problem.

Before you blame our software, check your what you installed, see this threads here:

Check if you have the same issue and, if you really want to know that *really* caused it, send me a PM or an email.
