The update service has been in this process for more than 30 minutes and is not ending. Any problems occurring?

Same situation here. Appropriate folder excluded from anti-virus. Restarting windows didn't help. Stuck in this situation has disabled the sim from starting properly.

Update: Installed the latest GSX installer and all is fine now.

- already tried this solution
 - and it can't be antivirus because I don't use antivirus on my PC where I use the simulator
 - I tried the installation again now and nothing has changed. The same error remains.
Can you help me?

Me too, problem persist. Appropriate folder excluded at my Antivirus (Norton). Restarting windows and ran the FSDT Live Update didn't help. GSX Options do not appear on the AddOn Menu at the splash screen. Furthermore, All applications at the Addon Manager page appears under "TRIAL MODE" attempted to re-register Serial Key and takes me to the error msg about adding the C:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager Folder to antivirus exclusion list again. Any further remedies?

I have the same issue. GSX no longer loads. Yes, files excluded from antivirus. I even did a complete reinstall. I'd suggest there is still an issue with the last update.

Same here. It took an abnormally long time, so I just left it and watched some Netflix. When I came back it was done.

Clearly an antivirus problem: it was probably scanning the whole system, because it freaked out since an updated .DLL was being registered, so it likely look for each and every file in your system that *might* need it.

I tried to Run as Administrator, multiple restarts, leave it for more than 8 hours, put exception in AntiVirus (I use Windows default one) and no luck. It's seems clearly a problem with your update.

if it  were  than everyone  would  have  the  same  issues, just  update   mine  and  had  no issues   took around 2  minutes

Just hitting this problem now. JFK has no buildings showing. It sticks at file 2 of 371. 0% downloaded. There must be an answer for this, but it is beyond me. Has there been any resolve on this matter that I have not found?
