Installing GSX and Addon manager to a new hard drive
« on: July 19, 2018, 12:04:25 am »
I have P3d v4 on a new SSD and want to put all my addons onto it. But every time I try to install it is says p3d v4 not found when it asks which sim I want to install gsx to.

How do I install gsx to this new ssd?

Is there a way i can install other addons as well?

Thanks for any help!

GSX will surely detect P3D4 if is correctly installed. If it's not detecting the sim, it means the registry keys for the simulator are either missing or wrong, which can happen if you "moved" the simulator from a drive to another drive, something you should never do.

I suggest uninstalling and then reinstalling the sim because, in addition to the registry keys the GSX installer checks for, there might be other things that are setup by the installer which might go wrong after having moved the sim manually without a proper reinstall.
