If you see the GSX menu, it means the software is correctly installed and working.
If it's not responding to the default hotkey, it's likely another addon has used that key so, you must either change it in the other addon (assuming it allows you to do it), or in GSX, using the Couatl->Key Mappings menu, and assign it to a different key combination that you are sure it's not taken.
