as I've said so many times in different forums , too many Flight Simmers attempting to "Inject" too much "other Crap" into their Flight Sims praying it'll work and when it does "NOT", they'll spend "copious amounts of time" on Forum Boards seeking solutions & fixes.
MILK & Whisky just don't go good together, unless you like being Sick !!!!!!
Really, NOT all these Flight Sim products work in conjunction with each other, properly, nor, were they meant to !!
Its Obvious that FSDT KLAS / Las Vegas Airport was NOT developed with ORBX Scenery in mind back when it was developed and probably for GOOD REASON !!!
That's the issue many of you seem to be having is with ORBX Scenery !!
I Purchased FSDT KLAS / Las Vegas Airport and had NO issues with the airport installing or displaying everything fine !!
I installed it into an FSX Gold / Acceleration "BOXED EDITION" , Yes I still have the original Disks !
After that I researched 1st what other Add On scenery would work with this airport, after reading several forum boards across the web, obviously ORBX / FTX was NOT going to be a wise choice !
So, I chose the "FREEWARE" - "Donation ware" BLUE SKY SCENERY which covers a large part of NEVADA and surrounding area around Las Vegas and it blended and mixed in very good and enhanced the surrounding area perfectly, without any issues or problems.
providing you install and set it up correctly , listing the FSDT Airport KLAS at a "higher priority" than Blue Sky Scenery in your Flight Sim set up folder structure .
I'm just amazed that so many Sim Pilots just wanna "CRAM" all kinds of "other Products", several products into their sims and think Magically their just supposed to work, just because,,, well it said so in the description or box,,,, so, it must be so huh
?
Everything from :
ORBX / FTX
Active Sky Art
Rex Sky Force weather
FS Global Sky Weather

Really do MILK & Whisky go good together
(without getting Sick)
I purchased my Flight Simulator to FLY and Enjoy, NOT spend copious amounts of time on Forum Boards trying to get products that were NOT originally designed to work with other developers products that weren't originally designed to in the 1st place !!!!
Example ORBX / FTX and FSDT Airports , and any other developers products,,,,,,,,,,,,

We really want you to avoid these pitfalls so that you can enjoy the new, stable, smooth simulation without having to waste time sorting out “what screwed up my sim now?”
Prepar3D v4 is stable. It is probably one of the more stable simulation releases we have seen in years.
Prepar3D v4 is
NOT v3. It is
NOT FSX. It is
NOT FSX-SE.
Do "NOT" install aircraft, scenery, utilities into Prepar3D v4 that were "NOT" designed using the Prepar3D v4 SDK. (Re-read that sentence it is important!)
Do "NOT" force Prepar3D v4 to utilize scenery that you "previously had installed" for Prepar3D v3, FSX, FSX-SE !!!
Do "NOT" use utilities designed to allow you to - “unify” - your installations by feeding "non-Prepar3D v4" scenery/utilities into Prepar3D v4.
The most important piece of knowledge you can have to maintain stability of Prepar3D v4:
