GSX and trial version of KDFW? **SOLVED**

I have (purchased) GSX a while back. Recently I went to check out the KDFW scenery, and it's stunning!

However, with the trial version I can't seem to access the GSX commands. When I press the shortcut keys, nothing happens. I can access the DFW scenery commands, but nothing for ground services (deboarding, catering, etc..)

Is this because it's the trial version? Or am I having some other issue?

Do I have to reinstall GSX whenever I install a new scenery? I'm a bit confused there.. I've had GSX for a little while now..

No, unless your existing version was outdated, and you missed a mandatory update in the past.

I doubt it's missing a mandatory update (anytime I've received a notification for an update I usually get it) but I'm going to check that now.

So (and I'm sorry if I'm sounding like a pain) I'm confused when you say "It seems you haven't installed GSX"...

It was an update problem! I went into FSX and everything looked ok, but then I decided on a hunch to check out another airport.. and nothing. It showed as registered and installed in the addon manager, but on a hunch I decided to reinstall GSX.. it made me uninstall Couatl, but then after that and the reinstall of GSX all is well!

Now I just need to jump on board of p3d v4.....

It was an update problem!

So it confirms what I've said, you had GSX, but it was probably outdated because you must have missed a major update in the past.

Yeah I'm usually good at keeping it updated, but obviously not good enough
