GSX Passenger movement
« on: October 14, 2016, 01:38:56 pm »
A little question to Umberto: When we have the possibility to look at  the passengers leaving the plane for entering bus?
I can also pay extra, just to have the passenger movements at the airport
Excuse for my english and many thanks

And why you say that ? DTG Flight School is already 64 bit now, so we can safely assume the next FSX version will be 64 bit too, and I expect P3D will have to move to 64 bit at some time, otherwise it couldn't be taken seriously as a professional product.

Sorry Umberto I'm confused, I assumed further development of FSX was finished after the Aces team broken up.

Of course wonderful programs like yours can always be added.

Well, there has been another sim released by Microsoft ( MS Flight ), and DTG has recently released an introductory simulator named Flight School, based on some of the MS Flight engine, but it's 64 bit.

DTG has confirmed to be working on the next iteration of the "serious" simulator, so it's safe to assume they will base on the latest engine, I can't see going "back" to 32 bit...

Is it possible to know when Prepare3d will produce 64 bit Flight Simulator?
Because only in that case I'll pass to Prepare3d. I hope that will be solved the old problem of OOM too.

I don't think even LM will know that. Nobody knows release dates of a software which is still in the planning stages, and they are still working on improving the current version. But I'm sure they WILL switch to 64 bit, sooner or later.

You should switch to P3D now, instead, because even as a 32 bit sim, it's VASTLY better than FSX. See this post here, for example:

I don't believe this. I know Prepare3d has not solved OOM problem.
Furthermore, I will always be faithful to FSX, at least until it will be realized a 64-bit flight simulator and without OOM problems

But it's true, regardless if you believe it or not.

No, it hasn't, but it's FAR more stable, and it looks so much better too. And it uses modern video cards much better (it uses DirectX 11 ) so, the better your video card is, the better P3D performs. Upgrading the video card is quite easy, and the new cards which just came out from nVidia offers a large performance bonus, with reasonable prices.

FSX, on the contrary, doesn't run so much better with a better video card, because you are stuck to choose between the outdated and memory-consuming DX9 and a very bugged DX10 implementation. And FSX is WAY more crash-prone, especially when graphic is concerned, and this will only get worse, since nobody is going to fix bug in video driver that only happens with DX9 apps.
