GSX is not working.
« on: July 02, 2016, 05:55:38 pm »
I read other people problems and they are very similar to mine.

Stop blaming the video cards, third party addons or anything else,
there is something wrong at your end, ever since your upgrade my
GSX is not working, the vehicles disappear when I click to deboard
the plane, sometimes when I get to the gate they are not even there or
a few vehicles are missing or only the wheels show

Before the upgrade everything was working fine, I haven't add anything new
to my FSX.

Please fix this problem

You are confusing TWO entirely separate issues:

the vehicles disappear when I click to deboard

You must have missed the latest forum messages about this: thanks to some users that helped replicate this problem we found a way to fix it and it will be included in the next update.

only the wheels show

This, instead, is a totally and entirely different problem and yes, IT IS caused by wrong video settings, or tweaks in FSX so, it will be fixed by following the usual suggestions about video driver settings and reset your FSX.CFG to default.

Also I want to add that the man with the towtruck sometimes it doesn't walk it slides forward.

So what is the solution that some people have found, I just updated the drivers on my video card and the problem continues.

Thanking you in advance.

This is ANOTHER, entirely different issue, and of course, it's not a GSX problem, but the result of internal optimization the FSX does to save fps, by disabling all animations after a certain viewing distance. It's should be enough to zoom in a bit or going closed, to see the animation.

The update of video drivers was only one of the several solutions suggested. Try all the following:

- Update your video driver

- Reset your video driver settings to default

- Reset the FSX settings to default, by removing the following file:

%APPDATA%\Microsof\FSX\FSX.CFG

This will force FSX to rebuild a new config with all default settings. Apply ONLY the HIGHMEMFIX=1 tweak.

The very act of removing this file:

%APPDATA%\Microsof\FSX\FSX.CFG

Will reset the FSX settings, because FSX will re-create a new file with default settings. That's the correct location, just type it exactly as I indicated, and it will find the file.

You might find it easier to type just the name of the folder:

%APPDATA%\Microsof\FSX\

Either on Windows Explorer, or in the blank area that comes out when pressing the Windows "Start" button, then press ENTER, so it will open the folder containing the FSX.CFG file.
