Generating Cache freeze at 40/41% **SOLVED**

Hi all,

The last 4-5 times that I have loaded up P3D 2.5 I have been prompted with the "regenerating airport cache" message. It always gets to either 40 or 41% before it freezes and won't progress further.
I can Skip it by loading an aircraft but when I do this I get a message saying that a "valid AFCAD cannot be found" at an airport that I previously could use GSX (UK2000 EGSS).

I guess it is a piece of addon software that I have installed recently but if you could possible tell me which one from the log  (or point me in the right direction) so I can remove it.

You have two separate issues. The first one is that you are using a very old version of GSX:

so, please, download and install the current one.

The other one, is that you are running out of swap file space:

Which is caused either because you are low on memory, or you are low on your Windows system drive, or you have set a fixed size for your swap file (not recommended) and exceeded it. This because the file to be checked was probably very large.

In any case, the current GSX version will automatically skip very large .BGL files from scanning, so it's likely the problem will go away with the previous version.

Thanks for your quick response - just to advise that I downloaded the current version of GSX and everything is working perfectly now. I especially like the way that you can assign which handling agent to use as well.
