V1.9 problems
« on: November 30, 2014, 11:16:49 am »
Hi All

Great now there are de-icers but:

1.  On the I-Fly 747  the de icers parked UNDER the wings and de-iced the wheels only :D
2. push back vehicle started inside a building
3. Wing guy...hovers around, i'm sure he used to walk before V1.9

Thanks

Clive

None of the things you are reporting are GSX problems:

1.  On the I-Fly 747  the de icers parked UNDER the wings and de-iced the wheels only :D

That's entirely normal. Since the iFly 747 is NOT an internally supported airplane, GSX is trying to guess the wings positions from the aircraft.cfg, and they are always invariably wrong.

That's why GSX has an airplane configuration utility, so you can adapt an unsupported airplane to be used with GSX, and of course the latest version of the editor has been updated to allow to specify the deicers in/out points over the wings, so they can follow the wing profile correctly. This is course fully explained on the GSX manual, Page 32, the chapter named "De-icers In/Out points"

2. push back vehicle started inside a building

That's also entirely normal, and it's how GSX always worked since it has been released. As explained many times already, GSX doesn't know anything about the outside world, other than the information about parkings and taxiways found in the AFCAD. It doesn't know where buildings are

That's why GSX has a parking customization utility, so you can adapt it to any scenery, either default or 3rd party. In this case, you should change the Pushback starting position for that parking, using the graphical scenery editor, explained at Page 27 or the manual, the chapter named "Graphical Scenery Editor"

No change whatsoever in the Wingwalker. This is an issue that has been discussed many times on the forum, and of course it's not a GSX problem. It's an automatic optimization introduced by FSX that turns off all animations after a certain viewing distance, and we don't have much control over it.

This happened because you were looking at the airplane using a too high distance or too wide zoom setting, or a combination of the two. It would be enough to zoom in a bit, and you'll see the proper animation again.

Of course, this assume you have the "Advanced Animations" setting enabled in the FSX graphic settings, which is automatically set to be enabled by the GSX installer, but if you changed it or reset the FSX.CFG, it must be turned back on, otherwise no human animations will ever work.

Just been customizing the Aircraft and parking position. All now sorted.

De-icing  is now correct and push back truck is not in a building ;D

All good to go from EKCH

Thanks

If you mean FlyTampa EKCH, we have a customization file for it in our sharing area:
