GSX and PMDG 777-300
« on: August 11, 2014, 10:58:47 am »
I just bought the 773 from PMDG and when i go to ask for boarding, no air stairs appear and the two baggage loaders go to the cargo aft and the cargo bulk not cargo fwd.

How can i fix this?

Thanks

The jetbridges of default FSX airports always go to door 2L. I think that is okay as in most cases that is how it works in reality. GSX will always ask me to open door 1L instead of 2L for boarding and deboarding which looks strange as there is no jetbridge.
How do I have to edit the configuration to make door 2L the main door for boarding and ignore door 1L?

Thanks!

Regards
Nils

This has been asked and answered on the forum a while ago:

The reason why GSX by default uses the main door, it's that not all parking spots have a jetway so, if you are in the open, the passenger stairs would look odd, because the middle one will go to the main door, and the front one will go to door 2L, and if you set 1L to be "ignored", it would look even more wrong, because there would be no stairs at all on the main door.

You actually see the uninstall dialog box?  Or is Couatl just not starting with FSX?

Couatl is not starting with FSX and Norton pops up saying its been removed, in my norton settings i have adjusted it to exclude all GSX folders to be excluded from searches

Norton is clearly defective, and Symantec even confirmed they have white-listed the current version of Couatl.exe in the last email we got after we reported a False positive for what is probably the 10th time. They always reply like this, and I really don't know what else we can do, other than suggesting users to switch to a reliable antivirus.

If you see the executable disappearing with a pop-up from Norton that it has been removed, it's clear you still haven't configured the antivirus properly.

GSX doesn't uninstall itself. It's Norton that is removing the Couatl.exe executable, mistakenly thinking it's a virus (it's a Norton bug, of course), and without that, GSX won't run, because it's the interpreter where all its code runs under.

I have the same problem with my Kaspersky Internet Security. Every time I have to tell him to trust the GSX folders and files. But then everything is fine.

Edit: Not realy. GSX is deleting itself anyhow. :(
