I'm really excited to try GSX, but 40$ is a hefty price for something that doesn't work on my pc
It's not possible to spend 40$ for something that "doesn't work on your PC" because, since we have a Trial, you have every chance to verify it works on your PC, before purchasing.
In any case, that error usually goes away if you restart Windows and always allow the module to run, even if it crashes, provided that:
- No compatibility mode is enabled for in the Properties->Compatibility tab for FSX.EXE
- The antivirus is configured to ignore the FSX\bglmanx.dll module
- The FSX\bglmanx.dll is not corrupted for some reason (bad download, or antivirus corrupting it). To verify this, you can right click on it, select the "Digital Signature" tab, and check if it's stil valid. If it's not, it means the file has been altered on your system.
Note that, even if FSX itself is not set to run into Compatibility mode, it's possible you can have the same problem if another add-on you run together with FSX is running in a Compatibility mode.
Try first after a Windows restart.
Also, if this is normal, at the end of the installation of any FSDT products, it says phython file _xxxxxx was not supported and not installed or something like that, and it runs through about 10-20 or so files of python files.
It doesn't say not supported, it simply says that, since you don't have the product that Python file is related, there's was nothing to update, so it's just skipping it. It wouldn't make much sense to update a file for a product you don't have...
