AES for Gates and GSX for ground operations....

IS there anyone here using both?

How do they work together?

I want AES for the dual jetways and GSX for all other ground operations.

I want a more realistic gate connection to my PMDG T7 without having to have one door open over the wing or on the front of the aircraft with the gate attached to the other door and heard that AES eliminates this issue.

That's not an AES "advantage", GSX has the PMDG 777 configured that way so you won't have an empty main door without stairs on a parking in the apron. But of course, if you mainly use parking with jetways, you can change the configuration using the integrated GSX airplane configuration editor, and swap the two doors.
