Issue with PRO-ATC/X
« on: January 26, 2013, 05:10:08 pm »
Hi,

I've an issue with pro-atc (i posted it on their forum) :

Once I start FSX, the PRO-ATC/X flight planning windows (same for option windows) becomes closed.

I did some more tests/research on this. Here is the issue and the "strange" things I could see :

- my specs : win 7 64 bits (seems confirmed on windows 8 too)
- I can use PRO-ATC correctly if FSX is not started
- once I start FSX, I got the issue (flight planing windows becomes closed)
- even if I don't move the mouse on the window, it becomes closed (no action from me in the window)
- the window closes every 15 seconds (4 times every minute on a very regular basis) (checked with a clock ;) )
- the issue does *not* occurs when I deactivate the "Addon Manager" entry in my ddl.xml file (loading bglmanx.dll). This entry is the Add on Manager used by Ground Service X (GSX)

Looks like there is a window event linked with bglmanx.dll that makes crashes some windows of PRO ATC (note :the moving map during flight does not crash).
So the solution today is to plan my flights with PRO-ATC/X before starting FSX.

Anyone else using both PRO-ATC and GSX at same time ?
Is there any option/parameter in Addon Manager or GSX module that would lead to this issue ? Or is this a bug somewhere ?

Thanks,

Guillaume
