Stuck on GSX loading screeen in MSFS
« on: June 08, 2024, 10:05:01 pm »
So since updating GSX gets stuck on its loading screen, I have looked through the forums and tried several suggestions. Restarting Couatl, modifying exe.xml etc but no luck.
I have attached the log file. There appears to be a few errors in it but no idea how to resolve. Hoping someone can assist.

Same happening to me also.  It was ok loading at EGLL.  Upon arrival at EDDF it just kept loading wheel spinning.

Just happened again this morning.  Had to quit Couilti via task manager and restart the app.  It only restarted after engine shut down.  Will add latest log.

Same here.
I also have to restart cuatl quite often at all after landing as it hangs on loading.
It‘s annoying tbh.

I wonder if this will ever be addressed, or is it all our fault?

We addressed this a while ago, with the auto-restarted, which will automatically restart couatl in case it crashes. That is, assuming your issue is that it crashed it, that is disappeared from the Traybar icon.

If, instead, it was still running, that's surely fixed by restarting it from the Tray icon.

The issue is, the autorestarter can only detect if the Couatl engine crashed, it cannot possibly say that is "stuck" for example because Simconnect is not sending any data, usually because of having reached the maximum Simobjects limit in the sim OR because of issues in the Navdata itself, which are the most likely causes of the menu stuck, when the Couatl engine is still running.
