VAS issues?
« on: January 08, 2017, 09:40:05 pm »
I have not made any changes to my FSX (boxed) in oer 6 months, except to allow the COUTL updates whenever one pops up when I start FSX.  I have gone for over a year without having any issues with VAS, or having an OOM error.  In the last week I have been asked to update COUTL 3 or 4 times, and since that has happened I have had 5 OOMs.  Is there an issue where it is for some reason using more VAS?  It has gotten so bad that I can't complete a 1 hour flight into KEWR using the PMDG NGX.  This is something I have never had issues with.

Couatl/GSX don't have anything to do with FSX OOMs.

Couatl.exe, being a separate .EXE, has its own separate VAS space and the whole GSX code runs entirely inside it so, whatever thing is causing OOMs, you can be sure it doesn't have anything to do with GSX. Especially if the crash happens while flying, when you cannot even account for the (small) additional memory required by the objects created by GSX at the parking, when you use it.
