As the title states. I downloaded the update (A/V off), ran the installer for FSX, rebooted, tried to startup up FSX and get a fatal error (stackhash ####) as soon as the splash screen loads. Been flying fine for weeks including the use of GSX (just finished a flight an hour before updating) and haven't installed any other programs. I'm very particular about what I install. (Too many reinstall nightmares).
Anyway, in order to get my FSX install to startup without crashing I had to completely uninstall all FSDT airports, GSX, and all other add-ons that use the add-on manager and coatl. Starts up fine now. (and I'm using the updated version of RAAS Pro).
I'll be installing the previous version of GSX which I still have the installer for until I'm convinced this isn't going to happen again.

Any idea what may have caused this? I realize it's a fairly generic error and I did try to turn off DEP globally as well but still got the crash. Only fix was to uninstall the items I listed above. Thanks.

I have a similiar problem but mine doesn't crash until after the game is fully loaded.  It only started doing this after the latest update.  Not happy that this pretty much made my FSX unusable

I'm on a Teamviewer session with another user that had a crash on start, and it seems it went away after excluding from scanning the sim folder in Windows Defender.

I'll give it a shot. I've had the coatl and bglmanx files excluded already. I'll reinstall the new GSX and then replace with the alternate bglmanx file. I'll post my results shortly. Thanks Umberto.

I'll reinstall the new GSX and then replace with the alternate bglmanx file.

If you are going to run the installer, there's no need to do anything, since the updated .dll is already online so the installer will get it. Manually replacing it was just for those not wanting to run an installer again.
