Just Installed
« on: December 04, 2013, 06:54:03 am »
Greetings
I just want to tell you how amazed I am after installing JFK. I was getting 10-20 frames per second with the default airport (aircreations trike); before using spot view and waiting for FSP to increase. I had some trepidation installing your product. I installed and opened the flight and voila...27 frames per second. How did you do that? I mean you even elevated the max texture resolution to 4096?!?!? I am not trying to be a drama queen, but I would be interested in knowing what you did to create such an excellent airport, while at the same time increasing my frame rates. I have also purchased CYVR. Can't wait to install.

Thanks for the great work,
Graham

That's the beauty of using 100% native FSX code, there's not a single bit of slow FS8 code in JFK V2. In fact, we increased the fps from JFK V1 to V2 to 30%, is like having a new CPU...

We haven't increase the resolution. The resolution is the same, because instead of doing many textures at 1024 resolution, we made 16x less at 4096 so, the overall image quality is the same, but the scenery it's faster, because of the few textures changes, that makes material batching more efficient.

Could I expect the same results for LAX and O'Hare?

KLAX is made using the same techniques as JFK2, while KORD is a more a traditional scenery.
