Simcheck A300B2-400
« on: April 13, 2013, 01:56:07 am »
I installed this aircraft's gsx.cfg file from a download here. as per the PDF instructions, in the Simcheck A300B2-400 root folder, but when I start FSX, load this aircraft at my chosen airport, and ask for catering services, I immediately get an error message about the Simcheck A300B2-400 causing the Couatl Scripting Engine to restart, and to download the latest Stand-Alone Add-on Manager which I have done through the on-screen option, but yet cannot ask for services to this particular aircraft. Just done 150 continuous flights with a variety of PMDG aircraft without a hitch at different airports all around the globe, so why an issue here?

The message doesn't say just that, it also says to check the error details in your Couatl.ERR file, please post it so we can see what's wrong.

RuntimeError: cruise speed must be positive

This error shouldn't be related to the airplane but, it's usually a mistake in the AFCAD file of the scenery. What scenery and which AFCAD you used ? Try the same airplane on a default scenery.

Cannot quite recall where I got the scenery from but it was at VABB. After a restart of FSX after updating the Standalone Add-on Manager, this time same airport, same aircraft, I skipped calling for catering services and instead went straight for calling the fuel truck. It and the passenger boarding and push-back all went smoothly. But will bear your suggestion in mind and give that a try later.

I skipped calling for catering services and instead went straight for calling the fuel truck.

That's seems to confirm it's an AFACD problem, maybe the path from a fuel parking to your position could be calculated, but not the path from a vehicle parking (which the catering undertake), because of problems such as orphaned nodes, overlapping nodes, unconnected paths, etc.
