Jetways Not Long Enough
« on: July 01, 2024, 04:41:57 pm »
The jetways at the widebody gates in concourse C are too short.  They will not stretch all the way to the entry door of the 777-300ER.  The gates in question are: C10W, C16W, C18W, & C20W.  I have not tested the gates at T5 or the other widebody gates (B17, K19X, K15, K13X, or K9)

Regards,
Rob

That's because you must have used the default MSFS positioning, which doesn't take into account the fact the airplane is configured to use L2 to enter.

If, instead, you use GSX positioning (follow the GSX VGDS on arrival or use the "Reposition at this gate" option on Departure), it will set the airplane with its front gear on the 777 e2 ground marking, and the jetway will work, see the attached screenshot at C10W, for example.

Gates C18 and C20A did not reach 2L on the 77W even when parked fully forward as shown in your screenshots.

Correct. I've tested and confirmed that even when using the GSX repositioning with the plane fully forward, many of the heavy gates at C do not reach the plane. Not only that, but they break away from the wheel assembly and float mid-air. This scenery needs some attention.
