FSDT Error message on start up P3D v5.1 **SOLVED**
« on: December 02, 2020, 03:32:14 pm »
I have all the FSDT airports in the USA installed on P3dV5.1.  All work perfectly (love you guys).  Today I get an error message on P3D start-up saying FSDT KCLT is installed but not activated yet, would you like to Activate? Two boxes show up in this message saying YES or NO.  Whatever box I click on, P3D immediately shuts down.  I tried to remove KCLT and re-install it but same error.  Any insight?  I made sure I ran the update so I am fully updates also.

There must be something wrong with the registry, perhaps a permission issue, which is the only thing that could cause the sim to crash. Try to clear the registry manually this way:

- open REGEDIT

- Look for this key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\FSDreamTeam

And remove the "Charlotte Douglas" folder.

The question should disappear on the next startup, and the scenery will be in Trial, so you can try to reactivate it.

Per his post on the PMDG forums, it appears his issue was resolved via the help of the computer manufacturer.
