GSX not loading while Couatl is in menu - P3D v3
« on: August 12, 2019, 07:26:22 pm »
Hi there,

Today I started P3D, and I got a message saying 'Airport cache loaded succesfully', just as normal. Although, the GSX menu is not showing up when I use Ctrl + F12. It also is not showing up via the menu bar > Add-ons. When I click on GSX here, it only says 'Disable'. I tried to disable it and enable it afterwards, but nothing changed.

GSX is fully up to date. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance!

Your description sounds just as if you disabled it and haven't enabled it back. Just to be sure, exit the sim, and check this file:

%APPDATA%\virtuali\Couatladdons.ini

and be sure in the [GSX] section, this lines says:

Disabled=0

Hi, Thank you for the quick answer. I checked it and in the [gsx] section it says disabled=0 indeed. I can't recall I changed anything manually in this file as well. Is there another option to try maybe?

since you cannot access GSX, you should do the following to enable Logging:

- open the Notepad and type the following on a new blank file:

logFile=couatl.log

(please note logFile is written beginning with a lower case L and a capital F )

- Save the file as couatl.ini in the %APPDATA%\Virtuali folder

- Delete %PROGRAMDATA%\Virtuali again

- Run the sim, then exit after it disappear after the cache recreation.

- Check your %APPDATA%\Virtuali folder and if there's a Couatl.LOG file there, post its content

- DO NOT copy the file in a message, but use the "Attach" function of the forum to ZIP the log file and Attach it to a post.
