_init_.pye
« on: July 11, 2019, 09:30:29 am »
P3D4.5 Nothing is crashing, GSX working. However, this one update, _init_.pye keeps popping up in Live Update though the date on the file in couatl\common appears to be correct. Please see attached screen shot.

Entire Addon Manager excluded, Windows Defender Firewall disabled, NOD32 Anti Virus paused, browser caches cleared...still in Live Update.   ???

I'm having issues with everything from the .pye files and beyond on a v4.4 64 bit install which comes up as corrupt. I've done everything recommended and even downloaded the file on a separate computer, still same issue.

There is something different about these files that are not pulling through on the systems.

That's not a problem, at all. That file will always change each time we do an update, even the smallest one. It will go away after a while when we don't send any updates in a given amount of time.

Aha. Lots of little tweaks. Thanks for explaining. Great addon just keeps getting better.

pye are compiled python files that cannot be opened unless if you're the developer, almost like a DLL file
Although traditional python files are .py .pyc, i believe they're in the .pye format to prevent tampering with.
