Did you read my report Umberto? It's not the simulator that crashed.

I found a bit difficult to follow it, since it contained a lot of unnecessary comments like bangs, jokes, difficult to read punctuation, etc...so I haven't noticed the sim didn't crash...

Which of course, is exactly what I said: Couatl CANNOT crash the sim.

The sim continued running, but all suddenly the boarding sound silenced

That's possibly related to a sound driver issue.

Couatl/GSX use the standard OpenAL library to create sounds, and sometimes some versions of audio drivers might have trouble with it ( not just Couatl OF COURSE, just Google for OpenAL problems, and you'll find thousands of hits related to so many other games, and it's always an audio driver issue).

Sometimes it's best to use the audio drivers included in Windows, sometimes it might be required to install the one supplied by either the sound card or the mainboard, there's no rule, you should simply have to try.
