Transferring scenery from old to new computer
« on: November 07, 2018, 08:43:44 pm »
I have many FSDT airports plus GSX on a PC I will soon be selling. I will then install them on my new PC.

They're currently running on P3D v3.4 but on the new PC I will be installing P3D v4. Am I correct in thinking it's just a straight uninstall on the old and install on the new one?

I will also be installing P3D v3.4 again on my new PC primarily for 32-bit Concorde. Can I point P3D v3 to the files installed for v4 or do they need to installed again?
Cheers,
Ray.

Uninstalling from the old PC is not strictly necessary. What you want to do, is to DEACTIVATE (using the relevant Addon manager option), all the sceneries from the old PC *before* reformatting, when they are still active.

Doing this, will prevent consuming an activation when reinstalling on the new PC.
