Confused! GSX level 2 passengers not showing in PMDG products

I am having problems with passengers not loading from PMDG products.  I do get the captain, First Officers and flight engineer boarding but no cabin crew nor passengers. I have tried the Payload option within the FMC but no joy.  I note that the product is supported from a list created in the forum but two aircraft not on the list namely Quality wings 787 and TFDI 717 I have found work with GSXL2 and do indeed get all the crew and passengers.
am I doing something wrong within the PMDG environment (737 ngx & QOTS 747 v2

All PMDG airplanes works correctly.

Be sure you run the current Live Update (although we haven't changed much in the PMDG configurations lately ) and be sure you remove any custom configuration you might have made/downloaded for them, using the Reset button in the airplane configuration utility, if it's not saying "internal GSX database" AFTER the Live Update.
