Title: Disappearing objects/out of memory
Post by: Jerrymc3 on October 11, 2012, 02:09:29 am
I recently bought KLAX and I'm having issues with gates disappearing when I get close to them.  Also, now and then AI aircraft have parts missing, usually the fuselage.  Also, sometimes when I'm on short final I get an out of memory message and FSX shuts down.  I currently have 8GB and I was wondering if increasing to 16GB would solve the problem or could it be my dated 285 GTX graphics card.

Be sure you don't run FSX in any of the "Compatibility" modes under Windows Vista/Windows 7, and be sure you don't use Transparency Antialiasing (as explained on the KLAX manual in the "Design Notes" section ), because this makes parts of objects disappearing too.
