There's no need for it, since it's already supported (777-200) by GSX by default. However, if you tried to create one yourself, and made some mistake, it will take precedence over the GSX data. Try to remove any GSX.CFG in your %APPDATA%\Virtuali\Airplanes\CS_B777-200 folder.

You have the %APPDATA%\Virtuali folder at least ? If yes, then everything is normal and if the Airplanes folder is empty, it simply means you haven't customized any airplane yet.

If this is the case, then there's no reason why the Captain Sim 777 wouldn't work, because is supported by GSX internally. Only the -200 model, though.

As I stated in another topic, the CS777 has 2 models now and maybe the ini is changed by them!

Not it hasn't. It now has PW engine option. It is still a 200 model.

Well, since you opened this can of worms, I'm gonna give you a lesson. If you go to sim objects/airplanes and look at the airplane list you will TWO seperate aircraft listed. If you LOOK at the model folder in these two seperate listed airplanes, you will see that one is for GE and the other model is for PW. TWO different models of the CS777 are listed! OK? The model folder does NOT say anything about -200!!!

GSX doesn't care about two variations in the same airplane folder. What matters is the main airplane folder under the Simobject\Airplanes. Does the latest version of the CS777 has changed the name of this folder or added new ones ?

They changed it from CS_B777-200ER to CS_B777-200ER_GE
                                                            CS_B777-200ER_PW!!

I tried the GE model and got 2 stairs at the forward left door at KSFO spot R2

They changed it from CS_B777-200ER to CS_B777-200ER_GE CS_B777-200ER_PW!!

So they are KEEP changing it...because when GSX was released, the name was CS_B777-200, no wonder GSX doesn't recognize it anymore, it's working like an unsupported airplane now.

Try if it works with the attached file, to be put inside FSX\fsdreamteam\Coautl\Common folder

Be sure you have NOT created a GSX.CFG file yourself because, if you have, it will take precedence over the GSX internal file. Remove all the files under %APPDATA%\Virtuali\Airplane\CS777* folders

There was a gsx file in CS_B777-200ER_PW, but I did not make one. Possibily the one you sent to me. There was also a file cs-B777-200 which I removed. I deleted tghe GSX file and the csb777-200 and I get stairs at all 3 doors now ans no reminder to open door 2. Thanks for your help!

I haven't sent you anything, the file is only created if you open the GSX Airplane config editor and Save.

That's to be expected so, the problem is fixed.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread. I am having the same exact problem as the two other users, two stairs at one exit
and requesting to open "Exit 2"
I don't have a single file inside AppData\Roaming\Virtuali\GSX.
What can I do to correct this? I'm on version 1.6 on CS777

Thank you.
Edgar

As already explained in this thread, it's possible the airplane hasn't been recognized, because Captain Sim added a new variant in a different folder.

How's the name of the airplane folder under Simobjects\Airplanes, for the variant you are using ?

This is how it shows under Simobjects\Airplanes.

The issue is that Captain Sim keep adding new variants, so we had to add those to the GSX internal database. Try to reinstall now, we updated the online data which contains the database, so it's enough to reinstall GSX to get it.

Thank you Umberto.
I had to uninstall GSX. After re installing I downloaded and installed the latest addon manager v 3.0.0.5 and everything works perfect with CS777.
I was using the V3 beta of the addon manager but got rid of that before I decided to uninstall everything (GSX and Addon manager) and start fresh.

Guys sorry for another resurrection, I have read all posts on this topic. I have followed all instructions. I am aware that this might be because of new models from CS.
I have downloaded latest set-up files (as of 1st Feb 2016) and installed fresh.
I still have issue with 300 variant of CS-777.
Exact same issue reported here that deboarding getting stuck with message "Waiting for you to open Exit -2"
Attached is the folder structure under Simobjects\Airplanes

I still have issue with 300 variant of CS-777.

That's because GSX doesn't support it internally, so it's just like a brand new plane that must be configured normally. There was a thread in this section named "CS-757-200/300", which proposes an easier solution to add it, without starting from scratch:

Hi everybody, has anybody done with CS-777-300 config ? I had done it to perfection. However I have lost it when I reinstalled everything last week. I had taken no back-up, just missed to do that   :'(

I would appreciate if anybody has the configs and do share/upload that because I do not wish to do it again.  :(
