Title: speed up baggage loading?
Post by: Cornflex on June 15, 2012, 11:15:18 am
Is it possible to speed up the baggage loading process?
I found the parameter to define the boarding time, but baggage loading takes too much time.

No, it's not possible, because it's related to the animations.

Most of users asked how to make it *longer*, and it's already much faster then real life, since less baggage are still proportional to the passengers number, but with a ratio of about 4:1 (faster) compare to real life, hand has been intentionally made 4 times faster than real world, in order to not be too boring. It's really the first time someone asking to make it even shorter...

i prefer it how it is
maybe a option to make it longer or repeat X amount of times... maybe a option to be set by the user

Hi

For me:

It would be nice if we could repeat the process rather than make it shorter - I need to set up for my flight ,fmc , performance data etc......

Repeat could be done only with multiple "trips" of the baggage train. The other option would be adding more trains to a baggage, but it will create lot of other issues with vehicle positioning around the usually cramped parking space.

A multiple "trips" sounds good.
so for instance when the baggage carts leave the aircraft some new ones are already on there way.
they both cross paths half way
this would save a little time at larger airports like KJFK or EHAM

also a option to specify how many trips are to be taken
