Title: MS Security Essentials and 2nd HD Flightsims
Post by: christiaan on April 20, 2012, 03:01:24 pm
Have a lot of FSDT airports along with many other "scenery" programmes.

Have FS9 & FSX installed on second HD.

Modules are exempted from the"real-time" scan, MSE programmed for a scan once a week.

As there is a little delay in getting clearer scenery when flying is it safe to exempt the Flight Sims from the scans to decrease  this delay.

Or am I asking for trouble, for example a "virus" slipping through which may affect not just the Flight Sims but also the rest of my PC.

I always exclude the whole FSX folder from scanning.
