My fsx would not start when i have fs dream team fll install ......and when i unistall it fsx would start..please can you help
-
If you see FSX quitting without error message, it's most likely the antivirus fault.
- DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL with the antivirus entirely OFF
- Uninstall the scenery. Reply YES when asked if you want to remove the Addon Manager and the Couatl Engine. Reply YES to both questions.
- TURN OFF your antivirus. Don't just exit from its interface, but turn off the real time protection. Actual wording changes between products, however, it's the option to scan every file that gets open in real time, without user intervention.
- Reinstall the scenery with the Antivirus TURNED OFF. Don't launch FSX yet.
- Configure the antivirus to exclude the following files from scanning:
YourFSXFolder\bglmanx.dll
YourFSXFolder\fsdreamteam\Couatl\couatl.exe
YourFSXFolder it's usually C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X, if you installed it in the default folder.
- Now you can turn the antivirus back on, and launch FSX.
- Check you are seeing BOTH the "Addon Manager" menu AND the "Couatl powered products" menu under the "Addons" menu
Or, much better, switch to an antivirus that works and doesn't mistakenly flag legit programs as threats, like the FREE and always updated Microsoft Security Essentials.

Im getting the internet connection issue . and fsx still not starting up
-
If your internet connection is working, it means a security software (firewall, antivirus, anti-spyware) is still blocking the download, and probably corrupting the file while is being downloaded.
-
well i uninstall my security program and still getting that message and also when i even install the addon mangers it does not show up in the addon menu in fsx
-
I can only repeat and confirm the servers are up (there are TWO mirrors running at the same time, it's unlikely they would be down together), see the screenshot I've taken just now.
So, either you haven't correctly excluded *all* your security software, or your internet connection is really down.
-
im going to retry it again
-
so what about addon manager not showing in the addon menu
-
If the download doesn't complete or arrives corrupted, the Addon Manager won't appear. Have you been able to complete the download without errors ?
-
the no internet connection with the bgl to use local
-
i dnt know what else i shoukld do
-
Be sure you really have turned off all the security software. Some people run with two firewalls without even realizing it.
-
i dnt really know anythink about firwall what should i do
-
Have you installed anything that looks like a security program ? An anti-spyware, and antivirus, an additional firewall on top of the default Windows one ?
-
its install and fsx start up but th addon manager still not showing up and their is no buildings
-
Have you been able to complete the download without errors ?
-
i got the same message about no internet connection and use local bglmanx.dll that the only message i got and then i click next and thenit finish
-
Check your FSX folder, do you have the following files ?
bglmanx.dll
fsdreamteam\Couatl\couatl.exe
For each file, right click on it, select "Properties", click "Details" and check the version. Bglmanx.dll should be 2,9,0,1 Couatl.exe should be 2.0.0.2090.
Then, selet the "Digital Signature", click "Details" and verify it's valid.
-
yes they're all valid
-
Have you been ASKED permission to run the two modules when you started FSX ?
-
yes
-
i wonder if its my dll.xml that is messed up because i never start having this until fsuipc installed.
is there anyway we can have a fast chat
-
I feel like im, not getting any support..................FsDT is the only scenery i always have prob with when it comes to instalation..............now the addon manager is missing and i have no buildings...........then what else can i do ........im tire of this

You can try the Simconnect diagnostic, to see if it starts or not:
Open Notepad, and copy the following text:
[SimConnect]
level=normal
console=1
RedirectStdOutToConsole=1
OutputDebugString=1
; file=c:\simconnect%03u.log
; file_next_index=0
; file_max_index=9
Save the file as SIMCONNECT.INI in this folder:
Documents And Settings\YOUR LOGIN NAME\Documents\Microsoft Flight Simulator X Files
At the next FSX launch, you should see a text window with diagnostic messages: the FIRST 10 lines or so are important: you should try to note what they are saying. If the text scrolls too fast, use the Pause key on the keyboard.

i dont know how to read this thing

-
Interesting, if you it fixed that way, it means you have a problem with VC++ libraries, and only one version is working correctly.
-
so how can i fix that problem
-
If you want to fix your missing/corrupted VC++ libraries, this should do it:
- Go in the Windows control panel, and Uninstall ALL the instances of the Visual Studio 2005 redistributable runtimes. You might have more than one version: remove them all.
- Then, after removing everything related to VS2005, reinstall again these 3 files:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=32BC1BEE-A3F9-4C13-9C99-220B62A191EE&displaylang=en
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=200b2fd9-ae1a-4a14-984d-389c36f85647&displaylang=en
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=766a6af7-ec73-40ff-b072-9112bab119c2&displaylang=en
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=26347
AFTER installing all the runtimes, it could be useful running Windows Update and update everything, including the optional downloads.
-
ok ty im going to try that
