That happens if you remove the scenery manually without running its uninstaller OR if you move the scenery folder OR if you edit the scenery.cfg manually.

Just go into the Scenery Library, remove the JFK area and reinstall the scenery.

Then your scenery.cfg was ALREADY corrupted before you installed JFK, but in that case, you should have seen an error message from the installer, that your scenery.cfg was already corrupted before starting it.

A corrupted scenery.cfg can only happen by having edited manually OR by running a bugged installer from other products, but is very quite unlikely.

If the installer found a corrupted scenery.cfg (and, as I've said, it would ALERT you of this) it would abort and not copy any files so, you won't see any scenery.

Well, that's quite different from the previous "I didn't removed anything"...that's exactly what it supposed to happen.

Now, it's difficult to say if your scenery.cfg is in a clean state or not. However, as I've said in my first reply, to fix that message, you should go into the Scenery Library in FSX, and manually remove the orphaned area.

Then, it's best if you UNINSTALL JFK first (AFTER you removed the orphaned area), then REINSTALL it.
