Title: Ground Opperation starting automatic
Post by: grafm82 on January 27, 2025, 12:32:51 pm
Hello,
I reinstalled my PC a few weeks ago and installed MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. I use planes from FENIX and also from PMDG and FlyByWire.
I have no problems with GSX on FENIX. However, with all other planes, the jetway starts to approach after switching on, the tanker and catering vehicles come automatically. I have already uninstalled GSX and completely deleted the "virtual folder" and then reinstalled it, but the problem still exists.
What can I set so that the ground process does not start automatically?
Thank you very much

Is GSX "auto-mode" setting enabled in GSX Settings ? If yes, disable it.

These are my settings. I have already disabled everything, but it didn't help

I can't select the auto mode, it's grayed out. Why don't I have the same problems as FENIX? If necessary, how can I completely reinstall GSX? Is it enough to click on uninstall GSX and delete the virtual folder or are there other things to delete somewhere? I would really appreciate some help. Thank you very much

If you have auto-mode disabled (and in this case it was disabled automatically by the airplane profile, that's why it's greyed), you can be sure GSX won't start any service automatically, and reinstalling GSX won't change anything, since it's not a GSX issue.

Maybe the airplane has coded some GSX automation on its own ? On the PMDG, we have some automation, but it doesn't start services or call GSX automatically, it simply automates doors and fuel load, but only after you called GSX.

The problem is not only with PMDG but also with other aircraft. e.g. FlyByWire A320&A380 and the ini A330 from MSFS2024. I also don't know where I can set something outside of GSX that starts the ground services automatically. Except for the FENIX, it doesn't cause any problems and everything works.
What can I do to fix the problem?

I can't tell you how to fix this the problem, because I can't replicate it, nobody ever reported it before, and I can assure you GSX will NEVER start a service on its own. Even if you have "Auto-mode" enabled, the most it does, is CONTINUE with services, but only after you start a service first, it will never try to "start itself" automatically.

Again, unless you have a 3rd party automation running, like the one in the Fenix, which is able to start GSX automatically, but it requires specific code to do that.

Maybe it will help:
I just took off with the FBW A388. On the ground, the jetway started automatically. The plane was supplied with power. Only after I switched on the NAV did the tanker and catering start automatically.
I have no additional programs that could affect GSX. It's really strange that it affects all planes but not the FENIX

It's possible FBW might have coded some GSX automation. We surely haven't and, by default, GSX will never try to start any service.
