Hello,
hopefully that was not asked already. Haven't found it.
I have a lot of airport profiles for 2020 in the AppData\Roaming\virtuali\GSX\MSFS folder.
Does GSX use these now also?
As I do not use the same sceneries for 2020 and 2024 couldn't these profiles be separated?
I can think about, that 2020 and 2024 will probably use different sceneries for the same airport. Depends which developer will make better upgrades. so, having different profiles would be better I think.
thanks

I think it works for both FS20 and FS24 sims.

Hello,
want to bring that up again as it is not answered.
Imagine I have MSFS2020 running with 200 scseneries.
And 2024 with just 10
And maybe 2020 with EDDF feelthere
And 2024 EDDF Aerosoft
(just examples to make clear what I mean)
How does GSX now handle airport profiles?
When I have a profile for e.g. EDDM in the GSX folder, because I have EDDM in 2020 installed, but I don't have EDDM in 2024 installed. What happens then?
thanks for answering

We might add an optional MSFS 2024 folder so, if you are running MSFS 2024 and you have a profile for that airport there, it will use that one.
I think it should be optional because, if you had lots of the same sceneries installed in 2020 and 2024, it wouldn't make much sense to have to manage and keep updated two identical profiles in two places.

Do the profiles work identically for both FS2020 and FS2024?

Yes, it's the scenery is the same, it doesn't need a different profile.

Good Morning,
in 2020 i have IniBuilds KLAX with it associated profile installed but in 2024 I'm using the default KLAX. In 2024 GSX is then using the GSX Profile for IniBuilds because this is in the folder and they are not split between 2020 and 2024. Is there any way to separate that or do i have to delete/swap the Profile manually every time?
Greetings
Michael

Or, you could just do the dumb thing I did--remove FS2020 from your system and take the 2024 plunge. One simulator / machine is tough enough to manage. Dealing with TWO was over the top for me.

Is there any news on this issue?
For example i now have a native 2024 EGLL Version and an 2020 EGLL Version, both with different GSX Profiles.
Do i still need to delete or rename the one i'm not using?
Greetings Michael

If you spawn into the airport and select customise airport settings from the GSX dropdown you can choose which profile it uses.
