Title: GSX Not working I need support!!!!!

I had everything working right and since the last two updates something changed that is preventing GSX to work properly. It does load at the beginning of the flight like if everything was alright but once you request any service 1. nothing happens regardless of the service 2. whenever you open the menu it will last a couple of seconds before closing or disappearing from the screen like it is timed out or closed.

I would appreciate the help because I don't know what else to do

Please don't post the same message multiple times, especially considering you posted multiple times on a Sunday and complained about a supposed "lack of support". That is just wrong.

Now, it would be help getting a better report of what is really happening, like:

- Are you sure you updated to version 3.2.2 ? We had issues with 3.2.1 that caused a crash when selecting some services, but they have been fixed in less than a day with 3.2.2

- Is the Couatl engine running ? Check the icon in the tray bar.

Yes I have 3.2.2 I uninstalled everything and reinstalled it all over again

I reinstalled but although I can open the menu nothing really happens and once I for example ask for refueling nothing happen and the menu will show and disappear or close in seconds, At this point I am not sure what else to do

You did not answer his questions except for the version.  IS COATL RUNNING IN THE SYSTEM TRAY BEFORE YOU TRY AND USE GSX IN THE SIM?

I would assume that Couatl engine is running. The menu shows and I can even restart Couatl but I don't know what the tray bar is.

CAPS are considered as yelling to someone and there is no need to do so. I apologize for not answering this specific part of the question. I honestly don't know what else to do and would appreciate the support WITHOUT any kind of harassment. If I didn't answer something specific, please point to the question and would gladly answer. Trust me the last thing I want is to be asking for support ... I just wish that the app was working as before that previous to last update

Bottom right corner of your screen where the clock is. There should be an icon for Couatl. You may need to click on the arrow to expand it.

Yes, "COATL is RUNNING IN THE SYSTEM TRAY. I updated to the newest version today amd yet I can open the menu nothing will happen

It's not possible that "nothing" will happen. At the very least, the menu should tell you something like it's waiting for the Couatl engine to load, which is not "nothing". Unless with "nothing", you really mean "nothing", so you click the menu and it doesn't even come up.

The menu comes up, then when I choose anything ...connect the jetway .... nothing happens ... and after that if you open the menu it will just disappear in like 2 seconds, I have try refuel truck and nothing ... catering ... nothing ... It does say that its requested ... I have tried in different apports

That's how the menu works. Were you expecting the menu to stay open?? So no, it's not "nothing", you select an option, the option HAS been accepted, the menu closed (as it's SUPPOSED TO) and if you open it again, it shows you requested it.

Requested doesn't mean "nothing". It means it's coming.

Hi,

I am experiencing similar behavior after updating to 3.2.3. The GSX menu itself initially appears to function normally, however none of the available options execute upon selection. An interesting detail is that I noticed that the GSX icon on the toolbar goes dark after the menu closes itself, whereas normally it would stay lit up. This seems to suggest that something is - for lack of better terminology - crashing internally.

To emphasize that the selected option isn't actually executed, similar behavior can be observed when selecting the "GSX Settings" option. The menu closes itself as expected, but the settings window never actually appears. Finally, the icon on the toolbar goes dark.

I'd be more than happy to supply any additional data if needed.

The video is a great description of the problem and yes the menu opens and Coautl is working but does nothing because there is nothing happening after the request

and for the very bright minds out there ... request and showing nothing is the problem because for the stupid ones like me ... showing nothing after the request means that nothing is happening ...or not been able to open the menu again because in less than 2 seconds closes ... you can't even request two things at a time

 >:( Yea after updating GSX Pro today now it no longer wants to push my FBW A32NX back from the gate, and yes shut down COUALT , restarted a few times.  It just pops up and says the gate I'm at is too small for my aircraft (The default go to every airport now) then I select Pushback and everything just disappears.  Click on GSX again, same message then try to click on pushback and the menu disappears again!  this is at PANC default Asobo scenery.  Want to go back to previouse version that at least handled pushback.

From your video, it seems the couatl engine crashed and/or was restarted by the restarter, since the toolbar menu is always automatically closed upon restart. So yes, I'll need your diagnostic log, created according to Page 38 of the manual, the chapter named Enable logging when GSX can’t even start, and posted here as a ZIPPED attachment.

You are describing exactly the problem that happened only in 3.2.1 and has been fixed in 3.2.2 and of course doesn't happen on 3.2.3 either. Check the update again or, alternatively, try using the Offline installer (Sticky post on this forum), in case some kind of network problem is preventing you from getting the current update.

Check if the two GSX folders in the Community link are Symbolic Links (this is what we install), so they have a small arrow on their folder icon. If they don't have a small arrow, so they are real folders (which is NOT what we install), remove both folders, then enter the FSDT Installer and choose RELINK for GSX Pro, so the links will be created again.

I'll echo this - GSX itself seems to be working, but clicking any option on the GSX Menu closes the menu but does nothing. No acknowledgement, no message in the menu that the requested service is on its way, nothing. Tried restarting Couatl several times, even clicking GSX Settings does nothing, so I can't enable the log.
First encountered in the PMDG 777-300ER.

Interestingly, I switched to the Fenix A320, restarted Couatl and GSX started working again. Went back to 777 with NO restart - same issue occurs. Services are not being called.

Out of curiousity, I restarted Couatl, switched to the 737-800 from PMDG. Works fine.

After the 737, I switched back to the 777 again, and this time, the GSX menu was stuck on "Waiting for Couatl Scripting Engine to start...". this was despite the fact that I never restarted the scripting engine. Tried restarting via system tray, and this time, the restart did not appear to work. I waited for five minutes, menu still stuck on the waiting page. I had to fully Exit via system tray and start it via the shortcut. Even after all this - issue returned. No services being called.

This would appear to be some odd edge case specific to the PMDG 777, in my case.

So I have confirmed latest version is installed, even ran file check, Problem is with PANC tried several gates, GSX pops up, says parking stall to small, then menu disappears, whereas before the "too small" message would go away and you could still use pushback.  Even removed PANC from the jetways in the GSX config, didn't help.  Problem is with PANC, default Asobo scenery, as if I go to KLAS then pushback works again. Did not have this problem before updating to 3.2.3 as I had flown out of PANC on Saturday and did not have this problem on 3.2.2   Just letting you know

You are describing what is normally supposed to happen and always happened since GSX came out, in 2012, see here:

If you start a flight on a gate that is too small for GSX, you can't do anything, you'll just get the error message, but no service can be called. This is how GSX always worked, and I posted a link on that old post from 2012 so you can have a confirmation of that, see what the user said back then:

Now, back then there weren't so many options like the one to set the wingspan on that parking spot or just ignore it entirely globally in the settings, which we have now.

And, in FSX/P3D the GSX Settings menu were accessible with a *separate* menu, since in those simulators it was possible to have a main menu, with several nested sub-menus, so we could afford the luxury of having a dedicated menu for the GSX Settings, another one to edit the airplane profile, another one to edit the airport, another one to restart GSX, etc. We can't do that in MSFS, because nested menus are not possible, so we would have taken over the whole toolbar, so all different options are in the same menu in MSFS, which explains why, if you start on a parking that is seen as "Too small", you can't do anything unless you exit from the parking, because there's just a single menu that controls both services and settings.

So yes, there's room for improvement, so we might enable at least the settings buttons and the "reposition" option in that case, but that's just a design improvement, the way it is now, is not a bug, it's how GSX pro always worked in MSFS: the menu doesn't do anything if you *start* a flight in a parking that is too small.

And yet until this version, I may get the "too small" message but was always able to push back.  So as much as you claim it has always been this way, it obviously hasn't as I flew the same route Saturday, same gate, etc as PANC has No gates that GSX seems to think are big enough, I of course got the message but it goes away and then I can do pushback.  Only thing that changed was Monday installing the update to 3.2.3, so there's that.

bottom line we can argue back and forward which is not the intention of this post. The bottom line, we are here to get support from FSDreamtime on an app that is not working or in case that this offends anyone is "unresponsive" and I have followed everything including updates etc. and I can't get it to work

What do I do now?

I can also confirm that the pushback always worked when the gates were too small.

I am not sure how to say this without sounding insulting. It took me 3 post to have someone to respond NOT with a solution but rather with a critic that I had to not open several post. After the back and forward I have followed everything that have been recommended to different people and MY PROBLEM have not neem solved. I tend to be kind of nice until the point that I feel ignored specially because I paid for this s,,, that is not working and I don't get any f... support

"Feel ignored" ? You have been constantly replied to, offering multiple solutions, regardless of your abusive attitude. So yes, you got it backwards: you are getting lots of support, but you are not making very easy to clarify exactly what is your problem, because each time your description changes a bit.

So, let's try again, IT IS the "Parking too small message" ?

The truth is that I raised an issue and going through the whole trail of post there have been answers to all kind of issues and some related to other people commenting having a similar issue but the bottom line is that I keep updating GSX Pro and I keep checking everything that you are suggesting and nothing seems to be working, Yes the app menu shows up but it is not responsive at all and you have to agree that it is frustrating because I don't know what else to do.
It literally went from working with no flows to nothing happening
