Hey
i know that there is a thread on this but it was for the PMDG 737 and the manual page 98 mentioned in that thread as the fix did not help.
But otherwise the issue is similar as that the passengers dissappear right as they are at the seat that they are supposed to sit in, Object LOD is set to 200, cockpit door open, ran the GSX config tool multiple times, checked for updates and errors/missing files in the FSDT tool, tried different liveries on the MAX including the default ones but still the seated passengers only show in the external view and no pink textures.
i did however find a gsx.cfg file in the ifly-aircraft-737max8\SimObjects\Airplanes\iFly 737-MAX8 in the community folder where these 3 look like this:
paxseatspos = []
crewseatspos = []
corridorsoffset = []

Since ifly max has just came out doubt that gsx hasnt been updated as of yet if its not on the list in the gsx config option than its hant been
-
I also have this issue with the iFly 737 currently too.
Sometimes, I also get pink textures and sometimes no pink textures.

Thats the thing it does show up in the gsx config and i have activated it, but still nothing

When can we expect the GSX Pro update that will fully support seated passengers on the iFly 737 MAX?
-
+1 I have the same results with iFly 737-MAX8 installed in MSFS2020 with pax disappearing right after seated. Sometimes Stewardess and Pax are with pink textures.
Hopefully next update will fix.

yep same here hopefully next update will fix it, the funny thing is that if i go to the outside view i can see the pax sitting in the seat?

The problem is caused by a somewhat unusual way the airplane exterior in the iFly 737 behaves. Even if you don't have GSX installed, if you go very close with the external camera (but still slightly about the fuselage root), around the airplane center, the whole exterior disappears. And, it never shows in VC. Without the exterior visible, no Seated Passengers will show up.
We asked clarifications to iFly, because it's the only plane that behaves like that. It can possibly be fixed by changing this line in the airplane model.cfg ( for all liveries ) from this
withInterior_showExterior=false
to this:
withInterior_showExterior=true
However, I have no idea of the possible side effects, that's why we asked iFly about it, and wanted to wait for their ideas before releasing official support for it.
Pink passengers, instead, are completely unrelated to this, the manual has a chapter about that on Page 98, no use repeating it here, since it lists all possible reasons for missing texture.

I think when iFly MAX8 releases the final package. It still in Pre-Release so we can expect some bugs and issues.

That configuration line I changed accordingly and now all pax seated well and happy. But who knows if side effects can be on the way as you think. When the official release becomes available, I will check that line again. Good find Umberto!

Odd -I have modified the model.cfg and set LoD to 200 yet I only see seated pax when using the drone camera but not looking thro the opened cockpit door. ……
Grateful for any other tweaks?

Sorted - although the modification to the model.cfg showed even after rebooting, it had not taken and I had to open the file again and resave it. OK now with a full cabin of seated pax seen thro the cockpit door.
Another pat on the back for Umberto 👍👍

That did the trick for me too as well for now.

Guys, it clearly says in the changelog, that's preliminary subject to a possible update from iFly, so that's normal the passengers don't show yet, we need wait iFly update their aircraft before we can see the seated passengers. The support from GSX is there now, just need iFly to update..

I changed "withInterior_showExterior=false to withInterior_showExterior=true" and as a result, the passengers grab their seats nicely. No negative 'side-effects" so far.
But every time I run the FSDT Universal Installer's 'Config' (which is necessary after adding new liveries), it automatically changes the entry back to "false" in some but not all model.cfg files. Weird!
This is so annoying because I have to go through all the model.cfg files again.

what is the location of the file where i have to modify that?

The FSDT Installer doesn't do that, since it doesn't touch that line.
However, when it adds a new livery folder locally, it *copies* the entire model.cfg of the original airplane so, instead of repeating the change in all added liveries, you apply the change to the original model.cfg, it will be copied as such when reconfiguring new liveries.

where can i find the airplane model.cfg?
