This issue was reported by another user in the General Discussion section, but I thought I'd mention it in this section of the forum hoping someone else has seen this and hopefully resolved it.
It seems as soon as GSX needs to display something on a GSX VDGS (Safegate24 in this case), GSX will stop with the attached error log. If I'm elsewhere at the same airport and haven't parked at a gate with VDGS (such as a cargo spot) GSX works fine. When I fly into the airport, GSX will stop when I select the arrival gate via the GSX pop-up menu. Again, I suspect, because it is trying to display something on the VDGS. Note that my example here is with WSSS where I have replaced all the Imaginesim VDGS with GSX Safegate24 (not the SODE ones). This was all working fine up to a week or so ago. For other reasons, I have also done a complete Windows 11 and Prepar3D (V5.4) reinstall over the last few days, and the problem remains.
Any thoughts? I've tried reverting to older GPU drivers, uninstalling any Windows updates, changing any Prepar3D settings I recall changing etc.

I have this issue too. Here is my log from KORD. I have tried and had the same crash with T2S-24 and T3-9 Safedocks I have tried at other airports. APIS and RLG systems work, just the safedocks seem to have issues. I have done full reinstall of GSX as well.

It seems both your problem are caused by not having updated GSX, because the new Fonts for FSX/P3D has been added with the Feb. 24th update:

I really wish it was as straight forward as that. I regularly check LiveUpdate. A couple of weeks ago it all worked then it stopped working. Also, as I've had to reinstall everything over the last few days, I used the current downloaders which always run LiveUpdate after the installation anyway. So, I should be up to date. As there doesn't seem to be many others reporting an issue, could it be related to having an AMD GPU? Flight sim users tend to go with Nvidia. I'm just trying to figure why I might be affected when others aren't.

PS. Although a 'Newby' in this forum, that just means I haven't had to post here before. But I've used GSX since it first came out and have always been able to resolve any issues. This is the first one that I haven't been able to resolve.

Its not that because I have an nvidia gpu and I have the same issue. pasted below what my log said, this only started happening this week for me.

Hello,
I have attached my crash log, for some reason gsx crashes at any airports with gsx created jetways now. I did a live update recently, and this problem only started happening this week. I have seen others complain about it but im not sure how to fix this. Tried a full uninstall and reinstall twice.. Some insight would be appreciated, thanks.
this vdgs line seems to be common at any airport with gsx jetways, didnt have this problem at sode jetway airports and gsx was smooth.

Hello all,
I have recently upgraded my GSX level 2 expansion to the latest version.
Since then, my GSX crashes as some airports. In this particular case Justsim EBBR, but I have also had the issue with FSDT KORD
I can choose my gate, but when I shut down the engines and I want to open the menu, GSX crashes every single time.
I have already updated my GSX via FSDT live update, reinstalled GSX as well as the addon airport. Nothing seems to be working.
Does anyon aleady experienced this issue?

I'm having exactly the same problem! Couatl is crashing at several airports due to "FSDT_GSX_Font_BLED_VGDS_small_yellow". I have run Liveupdate several times and its a clean install of P3Dv5.4

Can any admin look into this? About 5 other people have posted about this same issue

This has been replied several times, and if you keep opening new threads, it will just make our work harder. This error shouldn't happen, because that object has been added to P3D months ago, so it looks like you haven't updated.

Try updating again now, we forced a refresh of the whole Fonts folder on Cloudflare, should work.

Thanks for trying but no change unfortunately. There were some boarding sounds updated and oceania.png but nothing else. Same error on retesting P3D.
So, I then went into the GSX SimObjects and removed the folders FSDT_Font and FSDT_Safegate. Ran LiveUpdate and it downloaded all those files. Opened P3D and obtained the same error as before. As I've said in my previous comments, there wasn't an issue until a few weeks ago. It was around the time cabin passengers were added to GSX for MSFS. At some point around that, a change in GSX has upset something in P3D or is conflicting with something somewhere.

Could you please try again now ? I think I found the issue, it was an installer bug which ignored very small files for the base objects.

Thankyou Umberto. This has now fixed the issue. I appreciate us P3D users are dwindling in numbers so thanks for looking into the issue through to resolution.
