Title: Is GSX 3.0 a mandatory update?

Hi. I have just tried to start a flight, but wanted to keep version 2.9.8 for now as I had an issue with fps on my previous flight and wanted to test my new settings before installing version 3.0. However as soon as I started to load the Fenix I got an error message stating something along the lines of Couatl was shutting down and asking me to run GSX Updater. I restarted Couatl and tried again, and got the same error message. So now I have had to shut down the sim and update GSX regardless. We are not normally forced to run the update, but the error I am getting today is suggesting that version 3.0 is a mandatory update. Is this correct?

I didn't think it would be. I haven't had any issues running GSX without updating it, but then I'm still running P3D.
