Title: Boarding from Bus - odd Bus behavior when finished

I notice that when I am done boarding the CRJ700 from a parking position, the bus backs up about 75 meters .. to the vehicle path or beyond.. before it goes into fwd gear. Looks kind of crazy I assume this is not actual practice?
